Do I need a patch test?

Yes, a patch test is required for new clients or those who haven't had tinting/lamination/LVL with us before. If you haven't visited us in the past 6 months or have experienced changes in your medical history, a new patch test is necessary. The patch test must be conducted by us at least 48 hours before your appointment; tests from other salons are not accepted.

Please note that we cannot proceed with your appointment without a patch test. No appointment is needed for a patch test.

An HD express treatment does not require a patch test.

How do you handle rude and disrespectful behavior towards your staff members?

Rude and disrespectful behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated. If any of our staff members feel that you have been unkind in any way, you will be asked politely to leave the premises.

I have had a change in my medical history, do I need a new patch test?

If you have experienced any changes in your medical history, including receiving a vaccine (including COVID-19), you will be required to undergo a new patch test, even if you have visited us within the last 6 months.

What’s the difference between HD Signature and HD Express?

HD Signature will be the regular appointment that you book in for every 4-6 weeks depending on how often you would like to maintain them. The treatment includes a full consultation, tinting, waxing, threading, tweezing, and brow makeup.

HD Express is a 15-minute touch-up treatment designed for quick brow tidying in between your HD Signature appointments. Please note that this service does not include tinting.

I am using Retinol/AHA’s/Facial peels/Acids at home, can I still have an HD appointment?

Please note that to ensure the best waxing experience, we kindly ask you to follow these guidelines:

Refrain from using AHA's, facial peels, or acids on your skin for a minimum of 2 weeks before your appointment with us. If you have used any of these products within the 2-week period leading up to your appointment, we will be unable to proceed with waxing.

Retinol Usage: If you have used retinol within 7 days prior to your appointment, we will not be able to proceed with waxing.

Waxing involves the removal of the top layer of your skin through exfoliation. When combined with certain chemical products, it may cause grazes and skin sensitivity.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us by telephone or email. Our team is here to assist you.

I’m pregnant/breastfeeding, can I still have an appointment?

Yes, we can proceed with waxing/threading during pregnancy. However, please note that you won't be able to have a tint, lamination, or LVL.

You can still go ahead with all treatments. However, if you are breastfeeding, a new patch test is required for certain procedures.

How long should I wait to have an HD appointment after Botox/Filler?

After receiving Botox or filler, please wait for a minimum of 2 weeks before scheduling an appointment with us.

We regret to inform you that if you have had Botox or filler in the same area of the face where you are seeking treatment with us, we won't be able to proceed with the treatment.

I have had a facial treatment in a salon, how long should I wait until I can book in?

The duration you should wait before booking with us after a facial treatment depends on the type of treatment you've had:

For light cleanse, tone, and exfoliating treatments, you can proceed with booking without waiting.

If you've had any abrasive treatments or procedures requiring downtime like micro-needling or microdermabrasion, please wait at least 2 weeks before booking.

In the case of heat treatments like radio frequency, we recommend waiting for 48 hours.

If you are uncertain about the waiting period for your specific treatment, please feel free to contact us for clarification.

Can I fake tan before/after a tint?

We recommend avoiding any tanning products, including tinted moisturizer, as it may cause the tint to stick to the skin and result in a greenish tint. Waxing can also remove a layer of tan around the brow, leaving a white mark.

What should I do if I want to use fake tan before my appointment?

If you must use fake tan before an event, we advise applying a barrier like Vaseline on and around your brows to protect them from going green.

Can I have a sunbed?

You must wait 48 hours before and after a waxing/threading appointment to have a sunbed.

I am under the age of 16, can I have a tint?

Individuals under the age of 16 are welcome to receive treatments. However, they must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire treatment. Please note that tinting, lamination, or LVL services are not available for those under 16 years of age.

I cannot attend my appointment, will I lose my deposit?

However, if you fail to inform us at least 24 hours before your appointment that you need to reschedule, you will lose your deposit and be charged the full amount.

For cancellations made outside the 24-hour time frame, the deposit will be retained. If the cancellation occurs within 24 hours of the appointment, including no-shows or arriving without a patch test, the full appointment fee will be charged.

Will I be able to have LVL if I wear contact lenses?

Yes, wearing contact lenses is generally fine for LVL. During the treatment, your eyes will be closed for approximately 45-60 minutes. As long as you feel comfortable keeping your contact lenses in during that time, it should not be an issue.

I have sparse eyebrows, which treatment should I book?

If you have sparse eyebrows, we recommend booking the HD Signature treatment for your initial appointment. This will allow us to assess your brows in person, offer advice on regrowth aftercare, and determine if lamination is suitable for you. Please note that achieving your desired brow shape may require between 2 to 20 treatments.

How do I make my eyebrows grow?

If you are dealing with over-plucked, thinning, or ageing eyebrows, using a growth serum rich in proteins, such as biotin, is essential. These serums are specially formulated to maximize potential growth.

Growth serums not only enhance colour and regrowth but also condition your eyebrows, promoting healthier, thicker, and fuller brows.

For the best results, apply the serum twice a day for at least a month.

Feel free to consult your brow specialist for their recommended serums.

I don’t know whether to choose Lamination or HD Signature.

To ensure the best results, we suggest booking the HD Signature first. This allows us to assess your brows and determine if you are a suitable candidate for lamination.
